Wreath Toss Calling on the Almighty in prayer to ensure a bountiful catch and the safety of the boats and crews, the Clergy sprinkled each boat with holy water, and held the ceremonial tossing of a memorial wreath into the water, as a solemn remembrance of all who lost their lives at sea the past year.  The Wreath is Created each year by Carol McCants of Carol and Company.

Pastor Karl Newmann,  Bayshore Friends Church, Bacliff, TX read  passages from the first chapter of Genesis  saying the  traditional prayer that opened the 2004 Blessing Boat  Parade on the Kemah Boardwalk.

Msgr. Eugene Cargill of St. Mary Catholic Church in League City, dispensed  holy water from his  sprinkler onto the fleet in Kemah on Sunday Aug. 1st. 2004.

Master of Ceremonies, Kemah City Council Woman, Kelly Williams announced all the participants. Williams is also the reigning Mrs. Galveston County.
