be abundant during the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Kemah
on the 19th of November. This event will kick off the Christmas in
Kemah festivities, Nov. 25, 26, 27. Tree Lighting will begin at 7:00 pm
on Saturday. The Salvation Harbor Lights Choir will be giving a
spectacular performance as usual, Santa will arrive on the City’s
firetruck, and make sure you sample some cider and desserts provided by
the Kemah Merchants Association. This will all take place on the
City’s Parking Lot at 6th & Bradford. Free parking after 5:00
p.m.
Browsing the shops in the newly renamed “Lighthouse District “ can be a delightful experience. Some of the items you may enjoy while sightseeing will be a wide array of nautical gifts, resort clothing, garden sculpture, hand made crafts, jewelry, and imported home decor. Take a few minutes to tour the local Bed and Breakfast and don’t forget to visit with Santa, 1:00 to 5:00 each day. The entertainment this year will be spectacular. We have several artist from the surrounding areas scheduled. Some to mention are the Harbor Lights, Van Lang, Robert Greaney, Cindy Thomas, and many, many more and as always our wonderfully talented face painter Janet Pollard Burton will be on hand. We would like to invite you to come and enjoy a fun filled day with us. Stroll through our quaint shops, have dinner on the Boardwalk, or stay the night at one of our luxurious Bed & Breakfast as you shop for those perfect Christmas gifts. We would also like to thank the Kemah Community Development Corperation for graciously donating funds again this year to help ensure this event will be “ another Kemah success” (1) “Christmas Tree
Lighting” on Saturday November 19th at 7pm.
(2) “Christmas in Kemah” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 25-27. (3)“Blizzard by the Bay”. Sixteen thousand pounds of snow to play in Saturday, afternoon November 26. (4) Santa will be on hand to take pictures and listen to wish lists from all the good boys and girls. (5) Soloists, carolers, and bell choirs will be performing throughout the Lighthouse district while shoppers comb the shops for special gifts. Experience all Kemah has
to offer. Enjoy the fabulous holiday shopping, food and fun. Shops will
be open Friday and Saturday from 10am to 9pm & Sunday from noon to
